Dr. Nathan Bailey - Chiropractor
As long as I can remember I have wanted to help and serve people in need. I joined the Kansas Army National Guard and spent 8 years serving this great country as a medic helping my fellow soldiers perform at their best. I served as a medical assistant for several of Riverside Hospital’s private practicing medical doctors for a while. Then I was hired at Boeing Co. in Wichita and that was the beginning of my journey to becoming a chiropractor. I saw good, honest, hard working people who were suffering from day to day pains. I wanted to help them. After working in the medical profession for a time I knew that my direction was going to be different. Seeing the joy that my father (a chiropractor) brought to so many people who were not getting the results they needed through conventional medicine, it was clear to me how I could best serve people. I soon began the path to becoming a doctor of chiropractic and following in my father’s footsteps.
Background
I consider myself a native of Kansas. However, I was born in Davenport, IA while my father completed Chiropractic College. Eight months later my family moved to Wichita, KS where I was raised and where my father practiced chiropractic care for 40 years. In 2001 my wife and I moved our new family (2 kids at the time) to Overland Park where I attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. We fell in love with Overland Park and decided we would call it our home.
Education and Awards
I attended Butler County Community College where I completed my pre-med requirements for Chiropractic College in April of 2001. I applied and was accepted to Cleveland Chiropractic College in May of that same year. I graduated from Chiropractic College with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and as a Doctor of Chiropractic in August of 2005. I also received the "Clinic Excellence Award" and "Clinic Service Award" given to interns who excel in the college’s outpatient clinic. Cleveland Chiropractic College is known worldwide for its chiropractic research and education.
In December of 2007 I joined Cleveland Chiropractic College as a part-time instructor. I taught Introduction to Clinic 1 and 2 which help students make the transition from chiropractic student to chiropractic intern. I helped fine tune skills in the areas of note taking, patient assessment, and adjusting to name a few. I also assisted students as a clinician in both the student clinic and outpatient clinic. In December of 2011 I decided that my true passion was in helping my patients achieve happier and healthier lives so I resigned after 4 years of teaching and now devote my time to this practice.
I was picked as one of America's Top Chiropractors of 2009 by the Consumer's Research Council of America.
I was also named as a Worldwide Leader in Healthcare and Top Chiropractor in Kansas in 2011 by the International Association of Chiropractors. This award is given to those who have demonstrated leadership and achievement in the field of chiropractic medicine.
